Welcome to the very first International Evening at the Grüne Soße Festival! For one night only, the entire show will be held in English, inviting Frankfurt’s vibrant international community and global visitors to experience the magic of our city’s signature dish. Join us for a unique celebration where tradition meets a truly global vibe!
International chefs from Frankfurt and the surrounding region will compete with their creative takes on the classic herb sauce. The winner of the International Night will earn a coveted spot in the Grand Finale on May 9th, where eight finalists will compete for the ultimate title.
To mark this special occasion, we’ve invited a fantastic, multi-award-winning, and highly musical "Ménage-à-trois": the sensational music-comedy duo Carrington-Brown and their third member, Joe the Cello. Rebecca Carrington brings "Joe" to life with virtuoso skill and comedic wit, while Colin Brown’s deep, resonant vocals blend masterfully with Rebecca’s versatile voice and the strings of the cello.
For over a decade, this trio has caused an international sensation with their unique interpretations of classical and contemporary hits, all infused with brilliant British humor. Get ready for a dynamic, one-of-a-kind evening of music and laughter that is as unique as Grüne Soße itself!

Das Grüne Soße Festival
Since 2008, the Grüne Soße Festival has been all about the one crucial question: who makes the best? A total of 56 restaurants from Frankfurt and the surrounding area demonstrate their skills in preparing Grüne Soße during the 9-day festival week.
The audience is the “expert jury”! Every evening, 650 guests taste the seven jars of Grüne Soße variations from the respective restaurants. These are accompanied by potatoes and eggs, first-class wines and ciders, beer, and soft drinks – all included in the ticket price. At the end of the evening, the voting cards are pulled out and the audience chooses the evening's winner. All this takes place under notarial supervision.
The glasses are numbered and no one knows which glass belongs to which restaurant. This is only revealed after the tasting. The eight winners of the evening compete in the grand finale on May 9 and the audience chooses the winner of the festival. The culinary competition is embedded in a first-class show program with changing guest artists from comedy, music, cabaret, and artistry.
